University of Cambridge and Chicago created a report on the alternative finance market in the Americas. The focus of the report was on marketplace/P2P lending and crowdfunding activities. The comprehensive study surveyed 257 online alternative finance platforms covering a total volume of of $598.05 million in 2015 with an average annual growth rate of 168% 2013–2015.
